Since its establishment in 1956, Liuzhou Railway Vocational and technical college has been a model higher vocational college in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and a construction project unit of colleges and universities with Guangxi characteristics.
There are two campuses, Heping Road Campus and Guantang new campus. Guantang new campus is located in Liuzhou Vocational Education Park, Guantang Avenue, Liudong new district. Heping Road campus covers an area of 220000 square meters, with a construction area of more than 120000 square meters. Guantang new campus covers an area of more than 660000 square meters, with a planned construction area of 280000 square meters, and more than 200000 square meters of buildings have been completed. Part of the new campus began to move in 2009, and more than 8000 teachers and students have settled in. There are more than 9000 full-time vocational students in the school.
