●Furniture Paint Concept and Function
Definition of coatings (paint): Organic or inorganic compound liquid or solid materials (mixtures with or without pigments and fillers) that are applied to the surface of an object and can form a firm, continuous coating with protective, decorative, and special properties (such as insulation, anti-corrosion, marking, anti-fouling, etc.).
Function of paint: Applying paint to the surface of an object forms a firmly attached paint film on the furniture surface, preventing atmospheric damage, moisture, microorganisms, and other corrosion from damaging or corroding the surface, mechanical damage, and inhibiting metal rust, thereby extending its service life and providing good protection.
●Paint Classification
1. Variety classification: Nitrocellulose paint (NC), polyurethane paint (PU), unsaturated polyester paint (PE), UV paint, and metal paint is mainly magnetic paint.
2. State classification: Water-based paint, oil-based paint.
3. Functional form: Volatile paint, non-volatile paint.
4. Surface effect: Transparent paint, semi-transparent paint, opaque paint.

Primer - PE coating (unsaturated polyester resin coating)
This coating has high film hardness, is easy to polish, has good filling properties, excellent adhesion, the topcoat can produce a high gloss, is wear-resistant, acid and alkali resistant, heat resistant, and has high fullness.
Topcoat - PU coating (polyurethane resin coating)
The film fullness, hardness, and transparency are good, the coating has high stability after application, the gloss uniformity is good, the water resistance and oil resistance are excellent, and it can be combined with other paint types to produce different effects.
Using the PE primer and PU topcoat production process, the furniture produced has good film fullness, high hardness, good stability, high temperature resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, uniform gloss, natural softness, comfortable and smooth feel, and easy drying.。
●Paint Process(Closed Paint VS Open Paint)
Closed Paint
Completely covers the wood grain, so the wood grain is not visible, but the surface is smooth, commonly found in baking paint furniture.
Open Paint
① Fully open paint(Mainly nitrocellulose paint) is a coating process that completely reveals the surface pores of the wood, retaining the natural wood grain pores, highlighting the texture, and allowing for secondary repair.
② Semi-open paintOvercomes the characteristic of open paint that overly relies on the texture of the original wood substrate, and performs semi-closed treatment on some wood, which can also achieve good natural texture effects. Less paint is used, which can reduce costs and environmental pollution.
