Manufacturing is the foundation, engine, and cornerstone of a country's strength. To guide manufacturing enterprises to focus on innovation and product quality improvement, promote industrial upgrading to the mid-to-high end, and drive Made in China to the world, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Implementation Plan for the Special Action to Cultivate and Upgrade Manufacturing Single-Item Champion Enterprises", and organized the selection of "Manufacturing Single-Item Champions" with the China Industrial Economics Federation.On December 6, 2021, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Bureau of Industry and Information Technology determined the list of the first batch of demonstration enterprises of manufacturing single-item champions in Guangxi. Zhigong Furniture (Xiangzhou) Co., Ltd. is among them.

To accelerate the cultivation and growth of a group of outstanding manufacturing enterprises with prominent main businesses, strong core competitiveness, and strong radiation and driving effects, to conduct in-depth "Top 10 Billion Enterprises" and "Thousand Billion Breakthrough" large enterprise and group actions, and to build a new formation of leading enterprises.Through procedures such as application by industrial enterprises, review and recommendation by municipal industrial and information technology departments, soliciting opinions from relevant departments, and expert review, the list of leading enterprises in Guangxi's industry (the first batch) has been determined.
Guangxi Establishes a Cultivation Database for Leading Industrial Enterprises
On July 6, Guangxi issued the "Implementation Plan for the Guangxi Project to Cultivate 100 Leading Industrial Enterprises" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"), proposing to establish a cultivation database for leading industrial enterprises, striving to cultivate a cumulative 100 leading enterprises in 2021, 150 in 2022, and 200 in 2023, driving the formation of a group of large enterprises and groups, single-item champions, and "specialized, refined, distinctive, and new" small giant enterprises with competitiveness, supporting the development of trillion-dollar industrial clusters.
Guangxi will carry out the cultivation of leading enterprises around 12 key industrial sectors in the region, including non-ferrous metals, automobiles, food, petrochemicals, machinery, pharmaceuticals, electronics, metallurgy, power, building materials, paper and wood processing, and textiles and clothing and leather. It will highlight about 3 major sub-sectors in each sector, selecting 2–3 enterprises from each sub-sector and 3–5 enterprises from each prefecture-level city to be included in the industrial leading enterprise database for key cultivation.
The Plan stipulates that the Guangxi industrial leading enterprise database will accept applications once a year (newly built and put into production projects will be immediately reported for inclusion in the database). Enterprises must apply and pass the review before they can be selected for inclusion in the Guangxi industrial leading enterprise database.
